TIME TO GET YOUR COMPANY OR ORGANIZATION INVOLVED IN THE FIGHT AGAINST COLORECTAL CANCER

Whether your company or professional organization is large or small getting involved in the fight against colorectal cancer as a partner to the Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation is an amazing opportunity to create a community-building experience within your circle of colleagues, friends and family. Just look at what the Professional Women at MetLife were able to do!

This year the MetLife Foundation joined Emblem Health, Sanofi-Aventis, Exact Sciences, Remco Press, and Protocol Driven Health Care in generously sponsoring the Challenge.

Participating in the Challenge was Kristin Grimm, Chair of Professional Women at MetLife (PWAM), a group within MetLife geared to helping women meet their personal and professional potential.

"I was lucky enough to have a father who survived colon cancer," said Kristin Grimm, New York's PWAM chair. "But when my great friend Christina Puglisi lost her mother to the disease, I knew I had to get involved. Too many people needlessly suffer from this preventable disease."

Puglisi joined Grimm for the Challenge and ran in the event in memory of her mother who succumbed to colon cancer in 2009. Christina and Kristin raised nearly $6,000.00 for the Challenge.

There are many ways to GET INVOLVED including:

Involve Your People

  • Host a blue event or form a blue team - it's a great team-building activity!
  • Ask employees, managers, vendors and customers to shave or volunteer.

Involve Your Business

  • Be a sponsor - There are many levels of sponsorship and we can tailor one to meet your needs.
  • Offer to match the donations of employees so their gifts can go twice as far.
  • Have a blue jeans day! Let employees dress down in exchange for a donation to the Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation.

Involve Your Customers, Vendors & Supporters

  • Ask customers and vendors to place donation bins in their retail locations - one of our sponsors raised over $2,000.00 just collecting change.
  • Give the Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation a booth at your annual trade show to raise funds and awareness.

Spread the Word

  • Add the Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation to your internal and external Web sites.
  • Hang a flyer or poster during March.
  • Distribute our Brochures.

The Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation is a volunteer-driven organization, and many of our best ideas were generated by volunteers just like you!
